Not all research opportunities are pretty, but they are definitely all interesting! One ThinkSTEP student created a UC research opportunity to study marine biology (by asking the professor to join her study!): dissecting the waste of albatrosses to better understand the effects of human pollution on waterbirds. Her efforts led to a great experience and essays, which eventually led to admission to UC Berkeley!
